Whananaki South is a kitesurfing spot located on the east coast of Northland, between Whangarei and the Bay of Islands. The beach faces east and offers a peaceful natural setting. Northeast to east winds are onshore. Pacific swell is present but moderate thanks to the partial coastal protection. The bottom is sandy. The beach is uncrowded. Spot for intermediate riders.
