Isla Bolaños is a kitesurf spot located near Bolaños Island in Bahía Salinas, at the extreme northwest of Guanacaste. This spot offers an open body of water with views of the island, in one of the windiest areas of Costa Rica. The Papagayo winds from the northeast blow strongly from December to April. The spot is suited to advanced riders due to currents and distance from shore.
