Mosquito is a kitesurfing spot located on the north coast of Nova Scotia, in the Minas Basin, an extension of the Bay of Fundy. This spot offers unique conditions related to the extreme tides of the Bay of Fundy, with immense sand flats exposed at low tide. The spot is exposed to prevailing south-west and west winds, with occasional north-east winds. The Bay of Fundy tides create significant currents and spectacular water level variations that must be carefully monitored. The landscape is spectacular with the characteristic red cliffs. The season runs from June to September. This spot is suitable for intermediate to advanced riders due to the tidal currents and technical environment. Good knowledge of tide schedules is essential.
