Overview

Rocky Island is a kitesurfing spot in the Gyeonggi coastal area on the west coast of South Korea, near Hwaseong/Sihwa. This Yellow Sea location benefits from NW and W winds during the cooler months. The area is characterized by the massive tidal range of Korea's west coast.

The spot offers interesting conditions when the tide is right, with shallow water areas suitable for freeride and freestyle. Careful tide planning is required. The proximity to Seoul makes it a convenient option for weekend kite sessions.
