Kiwengwa is a kitesurfing spot located on the northeast coast of Zanzibar, Tanzania. This long white sand beach faces east onto the Indian Ocean. The southeast trade winds blow cross-shore during the Kusi season (June to October). The coral reef creates a reef flat that is exposed at low tide, offering flat water conditions. The tide is essential: it radically changes the landscape and sailing conditions. The spot is suited to beginners and intermediates at low tide on the flat reef.
