Engure Lake is a large coastal lake on the eastern shore of the Gulf of Riga in Latvia. It is an important bird reserve and a lake kitesurfing spot.

The lake is very shallow (average depth under 1 metre), making it an extremely safe spot. Conditions are perfect flat water. All wind directions work thanks to the large surface of the lake.

Note: the lake is in a nature reserve area, so it is important to respect local regulations regarding wildlife. The season runs from May to October. The spot suits beginners.
