Beckenried is a spot on Lake Lucerne (Vierwaldstättersee), in the canton of Nidwalden. The lake is surrounded by mountains that channel the winds. The Föhn (southerly wind) is the main wind for this spot, offering sometimes strong conditions. The lake is deep and the mountain setting is spectacular. Kite Addicted is a local kitesurf school/community.
