Cliff Beach is a kitesurf spot on Mark Twain Lake, a large reservoir in northeastern Missouri. This 74 km² lake offers excellent fetch and consistent winds. Cliff Beach features a sandy beach and good water access. Lake named after Mark Twain, native to the region. Uncrowded by kiters, offering plenty of space. Season from May to October.
Freshwater with variable visibility. Water temperature from 0°C in winter (frozen) to 27°C in summer. Large lake with excellent fetch. Muddy to rocky bottom. Moderate to strong chop in high winds. Full 4/3 wetsuit in spring/fall, shorty in summer.

Violent thunderstorms in summer with lightning and possible tornadoes — exit water immediately. Large lake: conditions can deteriorate rapidly. Boat traffic in summer. Submerged debris (stumps, trees) in some areas. Copperhead snakes and water moccasins in coves. Limited cell coverage.
