This section of coast offers sandy beaches with direct west exposure on Lake Michigan. Less crowded than beaches at neighboring Holland and Grand Haven, the area offers more space and tranquility. West winds generate regular waves for surfing.

Access sometimes limited — check public access points. Violent thunderstorms possible with lightning risk — exit water immediately. Commercial shipping offshore.
