⚠️ Oude Zeug is currently NOT an authorized kitesurfing location. It is a sandbank in the IJsselmeer, northeast of the Wieringermeerpolder near Kreileroord (Noord-Holland). The IJsselmeer is a Natura 2000 protected area — kitesurfing is only permitted at designated official spots.
The NKV is actively working on developing Oude Zeug as a potential future kite spot (volunteer Ferdi has designed plans for the municipality). No timeline confirmed yet. Until official authorization: use nearby official spots such as Medemblik or Schellinkhout.
