Ioannina Lake is a kitesurfing spot located on Lake Ioannina (Lake Pamvotis), in the Epirus region of mainland Greece. This high-altitude lake (468 m) offers a unique setting for freshwater kitesurfing. The lake benefits from thermal winds that develop during the day, mainly from the south to south-west. The body of water is flat and relatively sheltered by the surrounding mountains. This spot is suitable for beginners and intermediate riders. Note that the lake is a protected natural area and kitesurfing may be regulated.
