Cape Coral Yacht Club is a kitesurfing spot located in Cape Coral, on the banks of the Caloosahatchee River. This municipal yacht club offers access to the river water body with flat water to light chop conditions. The spot faces south toward the widened river mouth, capturing south and east winds. Cape Coral is a city of artificial canals, Florida's "Waterfront Wonderland." The spot offers an interesting alternative to beach spots for easterly wind days.
The Caloosahatchee River water body is wide at this point with a muddy and sandy bottom. In south or southeast winds, conditions are flat to light chop. The water is warm but often murky (estuary). The riding area is limited by the river width but sufficient. Tidal currents are present.

Tidal currents in the river. Boat traffic is heavy on the Caloosahatchee. The water is murky — submerged obstacles are hard to see. Alligators possible in the river (rare in brackish water but caution). In northerly winds, conditions are offshore from the yacht club.
