Moffat's

Overview

Moffat's is a kitesurfing spot located on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, between Moffat Beach and Dicky Beach, south of Caloundra. This ocean beach spot offers regular wave conditions with south-east trade winds blowing reliably along this section of coast. The main wind comes from the south-east, providing an ideal side-shore to side-onshore angle for wave kitesurfing. Pacific Ocean swell arrives regularly and waves are generally moderate in size (0.5 to 1.5 m). The bottom is sandy, making falls less dangerous, although the shore break can be powerful. The optimal season runs from October to March with the most consistent trade winds. The spot is suitable for intermediate and advanced riders. Watch out for rocks at certain points along the coast and longshore currents. Parking is accessible near the beach with public showers and toilets nearby.
