Fio Rito Ponds is a kitesurfing spot in central Washington State, near Ellensburg in the Kittitas Valley, at 438m elevation. These ponds offer a small, shallow body of water in a semi-arid grassland landscape. The Kittitas Valley is known for its regular and strong winds. The body of water is ideal for beginners thanks to its shallow depth and sheltered conditions. Ellensburg is nearby with all services.

Ponds with shallow fresh water. Pleasant temperature in summer (16-22°C/61-72°F). A 3/2mm wetsuit. Flat water — perfect for learning. Very shallow throughout — possible to stand up. Muddy to sandy bottom.
Kittitas Valley winds can be very strong and gusty. Small body of water — little margin for error. Muddy bottom. Rattlesnakes in the grasslands. Summer heat. Thunderstorms possible with lightning.
