Overview

Saint-Suliac is a kitesurf spot on the Rance estuary (Ille-et-Vilaine, Brittany), near Saint-Malo. This is a river/estuary spot rather than a true ocean beach — the Rance offers flat water conditions when the wind is right.

Best winds channel along the North-South axis of the estuary. Strongly tide-dependent — the Rance is managed by the tidal power plant (Usine marémotrice de la Rance) which controls water levels. Check both tide times and dam release schedules.
