Copacabana is one of Rio de Janeiro's most iconic beaches. Although mainly known for swimming and tourism, the beach receives NE winds and south swells that allow water sports practice. Warning: the spot is very crowded with swimmers and kitesurfing is generally restricted. Wind is often disrupted by surrounding hills (Pão de Açúcar, morros).
