Oraka Lagoon is a kitesurfing spot located on the Mahia Peninsula, in the Hawke's Bay region. This lagoon offers a sheltered water body, protected from ocean swell by a barrier beach. Northeast and east winds work well on the lagoon. The water body is shallow and flat, ideal for progression. Tides influence the water level. Sandy bottom. Spot suitable for beginners and intermediate riders.
