Muriwai Browns Beach Lagoon is a kitesurfing spot located near Gisborne, on the east coast of the North Island. The lagoon offers a semi-sheltered water body, distinct from the adjacent ocean beach. Prevailing winds come from the northeast and south. The lagoon protects from waves but can be shallow depending on tides. The bottom is sandy and muddy. Spot suitable for beginners and intermediate riders thanks to the lagoon's protection.
