Jean Klock Park is a kitesurf spot located on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan, in Benton Harbor, just north of St. Joseph, southwestern Michigan. This historic park offers a wide sandy beach with direct west exposure on Lake Michigan. The position at the mouth of the St. Joseph River offers conditions similar to St. Joseph beaches in a slightly less touristy setting. Regular waves in west winds.

Lake Michigan water body with full west exposure. West to northwest winds generate waves of 1 to 2 meters. Cold water — full wetsuit required except in midsummer (July-August). Sandy bottom with gradual slope. Longshore currents possible in strong winds. Good regular surf conditions.
Longshore and rip currents possible in strong west winds. Proximity to the St. Joseph River mouth with currents. Channel jetties to avoid. Cold Lake Michigan water with hypothermia risk. Swimmers in summer. Violent thunderstorms possible with lightning risk — exit water immediately.
