Point Impossible is a renowned kitesurfing spot located between Torquay and Breamlea, on the Surf Coast of Victoria. This wild and exposed beach is one of the most popular kitesurfing spots in the region, offering excellent wave riding conditions with consistently quality waves. The spot owes its name to the first explorers who found access impossible from the sea. The prevailing southwest to west winds blow side-shore to side-onshore on this south-facing beach, creating perfect conditions for kite wave riding. The Surf Coast is known for its regular and powerful winds, and Point Impossible benefits from ideal exposure. The spot is particularly active from November to March with afternoon thermal breezes. Access is via a dirt road from the coastal road. Parking is at the top of the dunes. The beach is long and offers plenty of space. Beware of powerful rip currents and rocks in some areas. The spot is also frequented by surfers.
