Shakotan is a kitesurfing spot on the Shakotan Peninsula, west coast of Hokkaido. This spectacular peninsula offers powerful west to northwest wind conditions.

The water is exposed to the Sea of Japan. Tides are present. Suited for advanced riders due to exposure and potentially strong winds.
