Groot Paternoster Nature Reserve is a coastal nature reserve north of Paternoster, offering wild and isolated beaches facing the Atlantic. The spot is exposed and technical, with ocean swell and often offshore wind. The setting is spectacular with coastal fynbos and typical West Coast rock formations. Reserved for experienced riders.
Works in strong SE, S and SSW. Constant Atlantic swell. Exposed spot requiring good mastery of offshore wind and waves.

Access via dirt road from Paternoster. Parking on sand in the reserve. Very isolated area.
SE (Cape Doctor) side-offshore on this west coast. S and SSW more favorable. Wind often strong, 15-30 knots from October to March. Exposed and windy area.
