Indian Rocks Beach is a Gulf of Mexico coast beach on the Pinellas barrier island chain. This quiet beach community offers a laid-back atmosphere away from the mass tourism of Clearwater Beach. The west-facing beach is rideable for kitesurfing with west and northwest winds.
Warm and moderately calm Gulf of Mexico waters. Sandy bottom with submerged rock formations in places (hence the name "Rocks"). Moderate waves with west wind. Possible longshore drift current.
