Lake Tyers Beach is a kitesurfing spot located at the mouth of Lake Tyers, in East Gippsland, Victoria. This spot offers the possibility to sail either on the lake (flat water) or on the ocean beach (waves), depending on conditions and the rider's level. The prevailing southwest winds blow regularly on this spot. The lake offers flat water conditions for beginners, while the ocean beach is suitable for more experienced riders. Summer thermal breezes strengthen the wind in the afternoon. The small village of Lake Tyers Beach has basic services. Parking is available near the lake mouth. Watch out for currents at the lake mouth and shifting sandbars.
