Lake Tyers is a kitesurfing spot located in East Gippsland, Victoria. This coastal lake offers a flat and sheltered body of water, ideal for freeriding and freestyle. The lake is surrounded by Australian bush and offers a peaceful natural setting. The prevailing southwest winds blow across the lake, but can be disrupted by the surrounding hills. The body of water is calm and wave-free, suitable for beginners and intermediates. Sessions are best when the wind blows along the axis of the lake. Access is via the locality of Lake Tyers Beach. Parking is limited. Watch out for shallow areas and submerged tree stumps in some parts of the lake.
