Ngapali Beach is Myanmar's most renowned beach, located on the coast of Rakhine State facing the Bay of Bengal. This idyllic fine sand beach stretches for several kilometers in a preserved tropical setting. The spot benefits from regular northeast winds during the dry season from November to March, offering pleasant side-shore conditions. The southwest monsoon from May to September brings stronger winds but the sea can be rough. The body of water is open with moderate waves.
