Kleinzee is a remote spot on the Diamond Coast of the Northern Cape, in Namaqualand. A former De Beers mining town, this wild and desert coastline offers powerful kitesurfing conditions in a spectacular and pristine setting. The west Atlantic coast is swept by strong south to south-easterly winds, and the cold Benguela current waters create a demanding environment suited to advanced riders.

The Northern Cape west coast is exposed to dominant south to south-easterly winds that blow strongly in summer (September to March). Wind is steady and powerful, often 20-30+ knots. The flat desert terrain and absence of obstacles allow the wind to blow unobstructed. Side-onshore on this west-facing coast.
