Grassy Flats Resort is a kitesurfing spot located in the Middle Keys, on the bay side (Florida Bay), right next to the famous Curry Hammock State Park. The resort offers access to the same shallow, turquoise waters that make this area famous. The easterly trade winds blow side-shore across the bay's flat water, offering perfect conditions for all levels. It's an excellent base to explore the Marathon area with direct access to the best water body in the Keys.
The water body is identical to nearby Curry Hammock — shallow Florida Bay waters with a sandy and seagrass bottom. Exceptional flat water conditions in trade winds. Depth varies from 1 to 5 feet depending on the tide. The water is warm (75-86°F) and crystal clear. Immense riding space in the bay. Ideal for foiling in ultra-flat conditions.

Same precautions as Curry Hammock: stingrays in seagrass (stingray shuffle), possible tidal currents. At low tide, very shallow areas. Water access is from the resort — verify access conditions. Maximum sun protection recommended.
