Zaozernoe is a seaside village in western Crimea, near Yevpatoria, on the Black Sea coast. The kitesurfing spot is located between the Sasyk-Sivash salt lake and the Black Sea.
Lake Sasyk-Sivash is famous for its pink color and offers flat water conditions in very shallow water, perfect for beginners. On the Black Sea side, conditions are sportier. The bottom is sandy. The prevailing wind comes from the southwest and west.
