Doctors Point is a kitesurf spot located on the north coast of Dunedin, in the Otago region, on the South Island of New Zealand. This spot is at the entrance of Otago Harbour and offers a mix of estuary and open ocean conditions. The beach is accessible and offers reasonable space for kite launching. Prevailing winds in this area are from the south, southwest and northeast. The spot benefits from some protection against south winds thanks to the geography of Otago Harbour, but remains exposed to northeast winds. Conditions are suitable for intermediate to advanced kitesurfers. The water is cold year-round, requiring a 4/3 wetsuit minimum.
