Port Alfred Middle Beach is the central beach of the seaside resort of Port Alfred, on the Sunshine Coast of the Eastern Cape. Located between the Kowie River mouth and the eastern beaches, this sandy beach offers an accessible urban setting with amenities nearby. Port Alfred is a popular holiday resort and the beach provides good kitesurfing conditions.

The dominant wind is south-westerly, side-onshore on this south-facing coast. Westerly and WSW winds are also favourable. Regular south-westerly thermals in summer afternoons, 15-25 knots.
Shore break in big swell. Current near the Kowie River mouth. Sharks present in these waters. Swimmers possible on the beach — keep your distance.
