Jordanelle is a kitesurf spot on Jordanelle Reservoir, a mountain lake at 1,887m elevation near Park City and Heber City. This 13 km² reservoir offers good fetch and consistent winds channeled by the valley. Clear, cold mountain water. Jordanelle State Park features beaches (Rock Cliff and Hailstone), ramps, and amenities. Spectacular Wasatch Mountains setting. Season from May to October.

Clear mountain freshwater. Water temperature from 2°C in winter (frozen) to 20°C in summer. Good fetch. Rocky to sandy bottom. Moderate chop. Full 4/3 wetsuit minimum, 5/3 in spring/fall. Elevation 1,887m.
Cold water — hypothermia possible even in summer. Altitude (1,887m): increased fatigue. Mountain thunderstorms with lightning. Motorboat traffic in summer. Variable lake level. State Park entrance fee.
