Cruas is a kitesurf spot on the Rhône river near the Cruas-Meysse nuclear power plant (Ardèche), at 77m altitude. The Rhône valley creates a strong wind corridor here, with dominant north winds (mistral/tramontane) and south return winds that make this a surprisingly consistent spot for Drôme-Ardèche area riders.

The wide river channel provides enough space for kitesurfing. Navigation rules near the nuclear facility must be strictly observed.
