Hashi Beach is a kitesurf spot located in Shimane Prefecture, on the Sea of Japan coast. This beach offers direct access to the prevailing northwest winds blowing from the Sea of Japan, particularly strong and regular in autumn and winter. Northwest and west winds dominate from November to March, often powerful and constant, driven by weather systems coming from Siberia. In summer, conditions are calmer with occasional thermal breezes. The beach is exposed to Sea of Japan swell which can be significant in winter. The spot is suitable for intermediate to advanced riders due to the power of winter winds and the swell. The sandy bottom makes launching easy. The spot is relatively isolated, it is advisable not to sail alone.
