Secondary access point to Johnson Branch on Lake Ray Roberts, in Denton County north of Dallas. This spot offers an alternative access to the large 12,000-acre reservoir, with launch areas along the eastern shore. Conditions are similar to other spots on Lake Ray Roberts, with good prevailing southerly winds in spring and summer. Popular spot with the DFW metroplex kite community.

Freshwater lake with good fetch. Short chop typical of Texas lakes in sustained winds. Murky water with limited visibility. Variable depth with shallow areas near the shoreline. Pleasant flat water conditions in moderate winds.
Submerged tree stumps and structures. Severe thunderstorms possible with lightning and hail. Boat traffic on weekends. Lake levels fluctuate with seasons and rainfall.
