Ballen Havn is a spot on the east coast of Samsø, the eastern counterpart to Kanhave-Kanal. Works in NE to SE winds — the perfect complement when easterly winds dominate. Shallow water with sandy bottom on both sides of the harbour. Samsø's largest marina with shops and restaurants.

Shallow water with fine sandy bottom — standing depth for a good distance. Fine sand beaches on both sides of the harbour. Water level variation of about 30 cm. No significant current in the main riding area.
Heavily trafficked harbour in summer — watch for boat traffic in the harbour channel. Many swimmers during high season — keep distance. Ride on the north side of the harbour in NE to E winds. No kite equipment rental at Ballen (SUP only).
