Wahnekewaning Beach is near Penetanguishene in the southeastern part of Georgian Bay. The beach faces northwest with good fetch across the bay. The Penetanguishene/Midland area is rich in history (Jesuit missions, Sainte-Marie among the Hurons).
Municipal beach with access and parking. Sand launch. Northwest to north winds offer best conditions. Accessible and well-maintained spot.
Georgian Bay facing northwest. Freshwater, moderate chop. Sandy bottom, gradual depth. The many Georgian Bay islands to the north partially filter swell.
