Wahnekewaning Beach is near Penetanguishene in the southeastern part of Georgian Bay. The beach faces northwest with good fetch across the bay. The Penetanguishene/Midland area is rich in history (Jesuit missions, Sainte-Marie among the Hurons).
Municipal beach with access and parking. Sand launch. Northwest to north winds offer best conditions. Accessible and well-maintained spot.

Islands and shallows in the area — watch when riding offshore. Recreational boat traffic in summer. Cold water in spring. Swimmers in summer.
