Fort Monroe is a kitesurfing spot at the tip of Old Point Comfort, in Hampton, Virginia. This historic national monument, a former military fortress built in the 19th century, sits at the entrance to Hampton Roads, where the Chesapeake Bay meets the James and Elizabeth Rivers. The unique promontory position offers wind exposure from all directions with excellent fetch into the bay. The historic setting of stone fortifications adds a unique charm to this spot.
