Dorans Road is a kitesurf spot located south of Hobart in Tasmania, in the Lauderdale area. The spot takes its name from the road leading to the beach access. It is a local spot popular with the Hobart kite community. The prevailing wind comes from the northwest to west in summer. Conditions are moderate with some protection. The water is shallow with a sandy bottom. The best season is from November to March. The spot is suitable for beginners and intermediates. The water is cold, a thick wetsuit is required. Parking available at the end of the road.
