West and northwest winds are optimal — they arrive cross-shore on the northeast-facing marsh coast. The sheltered position means less wind than the south coast but cleaner and flatter. The marsh area amplifies the thermal cycle — afternoon breezes are reliable and consistent. Northeast wind also usable.
