Spot near the Burlington Skyway Bridge at Lake Ontario's western tip. The beach faces east/northeast toward the open lake. The Burlington Bay Skyway bridge is an impressive visual landmark. Riding area between the bridge and shore.
Limited parking in the area. Access can be tricky. East and northeast winds offer best conditions with good fetch across the lake.
Open all year round
Intermediate
Lake water facing east. Freshwater, moderate chop in east winds. Variable bottom. The lake narrows here toward Hamilton Harbour, which can concentrate wind.
Proximity to Skyway Bridge — never ride under or too close to the bridge. Heavy marine traffic (Hamilton Harbour entrance). Possible currents in the channel. Industrial area — watch for submerged structures.
