Malibu County Line is a kitesurfing spot located at the border between Los Angeles and Ventura counties on the Pacific Coast Highway in California. This ocean spot famous in the surfing world offers quality waves and west afternoon thermal winds. Coastal cliffs and natural setting create a spectacular atmosphere. Suited for advanced riders due to rocks, kelp, and currents.

On the water

Ocean spot with waves of 0.5 to 2m depending on swell. Water is temperate (14-20°C/57-68°F), a 3/2 wetsuit is recommended. Mixed rocky and sandy bottom. Abundant kelp offshore. Drift currents along the coast. The area's point breaks offer excellent waves for wave riding when the swell is clean.

Submerged rocks and reefs — scout the area carefully. Dense kelp that can tangle in lines and fins. Drift currents along the coast. Very popular surf area with locals — respect priorities. Limited parking along PCH. Unstable cliffs — rockfall risk. Sharks present in Malibu waters.
