Mounts Bay is a kitesurfing spot located south of Apollo Bay, on the Great Ocean Road, in Victoria. This bay offers sailing conditions in a spectacular setting, surrounded by cliffs and temperate rainforest of the Otways. Dominant southwest to west winds blow onshore on this southwest-facing bay. Conditions can be powerful with significant waves during large swells. The spot is suitable for advanced riders due to ocean exposure and currents. Access is from the Great Ocean Road. The spot is relatively isolated and it is recommended not to sail alone. Watch out for rocks and coastal currents.
