Kaka Point is a kitesurfing spot located in the south of the Otago region, on the Catlins coast. This small coastal village offers a sandy beach facing east, towards the South Pacific Ocean. Northeast winds are onshore and most frequent. South to southwest winds are side-shore and bring southern swell. The coast is exposed and conditions can be challenging. The water is cold. The bottom is sandy with rocks in places. Spot for intermediate to advanced riders.
