The Puddle is a kitesurfing spot located in the suburb of Porirua, in the Wellington region, on the North Island of New Zealand. This spot gets its name from the shallow, flat water area in Porirua Harbour, which resembles a large puddle. It is an excellent learning spot thanks to its calm, shallow waters. Dominant winds come from the north and south. The spot is perfectly suited to beginner kitesurfers thanks to the flat, shallow water that makes it easy to stand back up. It is one of the best beginner spots in the Wellington region, with easy access and nearby parking.
