Waiinu Beach is a kitesurfing spot located on the south coast of Taranaki, on the North Island of New Zealand. This wild beach faces the Tasman Sea and benefits from the steady southwest to northwest winds typical of the New Zealand west coast. The spot is relatively isolated and uncrowded. Dominant winds come from the southwest and west. The spot is suitable for intermediate to advanced kitesurfers due to the wave exposure and relative isolation. The beach offers good launching space. A full wetsuit is recommended.
