Tankval is a kitesurf spot on the western shore of the IJsselmeer in Noord-Holland, not far from Hoorn. The IJsselmeer's enclosed freshwater lake environment provides flat to choppy conditions without tidal currents — ideal for freeride and freestyle. SW to W winds are the prime directions on this side of the lake.
