Beechford is a kitesurfing spot located on the north coast of Tasmania, east of the Tamar River mouth. This beach offers sailing conditions in the waters of Bass Strait. The dominant wind comes from the west to northwest in summer. Waves are moderate and the bottom is sandy. The spot is relatively isolated with little traffic. The best season is from November to March. The spot is suitable for intermediate riders. The water is cold, thick wetsuit required. Beechford is a very small village with few amenities.
