Dunedin Harbour (Otago Harbour) is a kitesurfing spot located in the natural harbour of Dunedin, in the Otago region. This long, narrow harbour is protected by the Otago Peninsula, offering a body of water sheltered from ocean swell. Northeast winds are channeled along the harbour and dominate. Southwest winds blow up the harbour. The water is semi-sheltered with little swell. Watch out for maritime traffic (commercial and cruise ships). Tides and harbour currents should be monitored. Spot for intermediate riders.
