Nestled in a pre-alpine setting between Unterägeri and Oberägeri, Lake Ägerisee offers an exceptional natural environment for water sports. This lake in the Canton of Zug, less crowded than its bigger brother Zugersee, appeals with its peaceful atmosphere and interesting wind conditions.
In thermal conditions, expect consistent 2-3 Beaufort winds from midday onwards. But it's during westerly fronts, northerly winds or foehn conditions that the spot reveals its true potential: wind can pick up significantly, generating considerable swell on this 5.5 km long lake.
Warning: This spot is reserved for experienced riders. The launch area is technical, partially sheltered with several trees nearby. Wind is often gusty and can vary suddenly in intensity.
The spot works mainly with south to west winds. Midday thermals offer regular 2-3 Beaufort conditions, ideal for a relaxed session. Westerly fronts and foehn situations can generate much stronger winds with swell.

Riding allowed on the entire lake. Boat traffic remains limited, allowing peaceful sessions. In stronger winds, swell can build along the entire length of the lake.
Parking is located directly at Naas Sod campsite (Naastrasse 101, 6315 Morgarten). Fee is CHF 5.– payable at the campsite kiosk. Campsite facilities (toilets, showers) are accessible for a small fee.
Wind is characterized by its irregularity. Sudden accelerations and lulls are frequent. The lake's configuration in its pre-alpine valley creates variable channeling effects depending on wind direction.
